Sunday March 4 - Spring Fling at the Snow Bowl! Steel band and our patrol fundraiser BBQ on the deck. Terrain Park event
along with another kids scavenger hunt. Should be fun!!! Could use some help from a few burger flippers and dog rollers.
Jason from the cafeteria is providing all the necessities and we split the till with him 50-50. Contact Kate or Steve directly FMI.
New Mountain Hours. Starting the week of 5 March, we'll be open Thursdays and Fridays 1200-1700 and Sat/Sun 0900-1600
(Closed Mon, Tue and Wed). The online scheduling calendar has been changed to reflect these new hours. Please hit the schedule
to sign up for March Shifts. Plans are to remain open as long as both the snow and paying guests hold out-this could concievably be another 3 weeks!
New Patrollers: Reney Crochere an EMT-I with CFAA has joined us as a Auxiliary Candidate. Katlyn Drake, a newly minted
EMT-B is also joining as an Alpine Patroller Candidate. Both are challenging OEC and have passed the written exam. Look for them
to test out on the OEC Practical this month along with Galen and Dennis.
March S&T Eval: We're running a S&T Eval for candidates who have completed the S&T training program Thursday, 1 March.
If you are ready, come on out!
Group Ski Outing(s): Lets plan to get a trip or two into the western mountains this spring. I'll be talking with Dari and Jared Emerson
about holding another instructor's clinic at Saddleback sometime later in March. Would like to get a few more people into the Tobo instructor pipeline.
Next OEC Course: Will begin sometime in July. Please get me names and contact info for prospective students ASAP.

S&T Eval a Success!

We held Ski and Toboggan evaluations for seven Auxiliary patrollers from last year's candidate group. This group has worked hard to meet the training and skill prereq's for test eligibility. The conditions for the evaluation were challenging with temps in the sub-teens and wind chill's at times below zero. The seven conquered the "Coastal Packed Powder" and Crud to complete the eval with flying colors!
Earning their NSP crosses and reclassifying to Alpine Patrollers Sunday were (L to R); Jim Buckley, Duncan Matlack, Nick Horovitz, Steve Pixley, Paul Berube, Dan Courtemanch and Jack Lalor.
